Up the river

We went on a 6 day canoe trip up the Manigotagan river, June 3 - 8.

Had to fill up on of the cars before we went. With vegetable oil.

I spent over an hour sitting on the side of a truck, on a harsh road. It was surprisingly comfortable.

Found a friend at our first campsite. I picked him up too. No big deal.

Lori making popcorn.

Here's an amazing place to go for lunch. I highly recomend it.

A little bumpy on the way down.

There were some amazing spider webs in the trees. I guess a beautiful wab makes up for spiders being so ugly.

Water falls are awesome.

A guy named Charlie takes care of the river, and this is his home-away-from-home.

A bear's been a diggin'.

Here's the view from where we camped on the third night.

Going down the rapids without a canoe (on purpose).

Surfing. He's pointing upstream, by the way.

Luxury.

Ready for 24 hours of living.

A forest fire went though this are a few years ago. The biggest trees are only about 8 feet high.

There's more photos, but they'll have to wait.
